Best of: Drinks

Mari Vanna (Dupont Circle) Grab a seat at DC's newest Russian hotspot and enjoy the cute, cozy atmosphere that's reminiscent of a little old lady's Eastern European cottage.Feeling brave? Try the horseradish-infused vodka (it's surprisingly good!). Bonus points: there's a restaurant on the second floor and a lounge on the third.

Seasons 52 (Tysons Corner) Sit back, relax, try the Organic Sunshine martini and listen to the piano players behind the bar - they take requests!

J. Gilbert's (McLean) This place has the best service, hands down. Their 'Finest Hour' is from 4pm - 7pm and the bar fills up fast, so grab a seat if you can and try an X-Rated Boyfriend martini and the Maytag Chips appetizer - so good.

Jaleo (Bethesda, Penn Quarter, Crystal City) The perfect place to swing in during 'Jaleo Hour' to grab a drink and a few small plates. And $4 for a fruity red wine sangria? I'll take it.

PX (Alexandria) Secretive and exclusive with an intimate ambiance and carefully crafted cocktails. If you go - make a reservation and get all dolled up!

The Passenger (Mount Vernon Square/Chinatown) Unique, innovative cocktails made by bartenders who know what they're doing. For a personalized drink experience, check out The Columbia Room.

The Board Room (Dupont Circle) Up for a game Cards Against Humanity or Scrabble? Maybe a throwback round of Hungry Hungry Hippos? Head over to Dupont, order a beer and pick your favorite board game, and enjoy! Check out the list of available games here.

Sonoma Wine Bar (Capitol Hill) Cozy (think exposed brick, fireplaces, candles) with a friendly staff, this place has an extensive wine list and lots of 'by the glass' options, plus flights. Their Italian Happy Hour runs from 4:30pm - 7:30pm and includes $5 wines and $3 beers.

La Malinche (Silver Spring) This place as a FANTASTIC happy hour... the delicious $3 tapas (try the chicken croquettes!) and $3 drinks are a steal. The happy hour prices are available at the bar only, so get there early and grab a spot.

Bar Dupont (Dupont Circle) A chic interior with great service, great food and drinks, and a great location.

18th Street Lounge (Dupont Circle) An old house converted into a multi-level lounge with multiple bars, a dark and moody ambiance and live music. Fun fact: this is where Thievery Corporation got their start.

La Sandia (Tysons Corner) From Richard Sandoval, this place has fabulous happy hour specials running from 4pm - 9pm, a fabulous white sangria and fabulous fresh guacamole, made right at your table. And, being right in the mall, you can just pop up the escalators and do a little shopping!
