This past weekend we headed downtown, camera in hand, to check out the National Tree. We snapped some shots of that, the monuments, and pretty holiday lights around the Ellipse and on 16th Street. The lights outside the University Club on 16th (pictured in the last shot below) are SO pretty. I was also experimenting with creating shapes out of bokeh (using this method). I made my own shapes, but now I'm on the lookout for pre-made filters in shapes other than a heart!
DC readers - where are your favorite spots around the area to light-gaze?
These pictures are awesome. They make me want to get out more. We live near Union Station, so I am partial to the wreaths. I am so glad they get to be part of my daily commute!
SO SO Pretty! I miss living on the east coast soooo much. Utah is not the same. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you in these pictures :)
