Painted Vases DIY - Before and After

I came across these pretty colored vases at Michaels (for around $1 each!) & while I loved their shapes & textures, I didn't love the mismatched array of colors.  I made a trip over to the paint aisle & decided to paint them in pretty off-whites, teals & orangey-corals.

  1. I love these! I'm going to have to head over to Michael's now. And perhaps copy your color choices- they're perfect for brightening up for summer.

  9. So cute!
But what kind of paint did you use for the inside?

    1. It was your typical craft paint from Michael's... nothing special... plus a few coats of spray glaze. I'd imagine that a number of different types of paints would work. I also painted the outside, not the inside. :)

  10. How did you apply the craft paint? How are they holding up?

    1. The paint was applied with a paintbrush, any kind should work. The spray glaze ensures they will hold up, and mine are displayed outside and they're fine.

  13. So pretty! Can I do this with some old empty wine bottle I kept? Good way to repurpose them? Do you mind if I reblog of course linking back to you?
